Light Prayers: 30. Light that Burns

Isaiah 10:17  NIV  “The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers.”

This week I am in South Africa.  I will be speaking on a wide range of topics to a variety of different groups.  As is characteristic of the Besters, everything appears to be a well-oiled machine with all logistics in place.

I would appreciate prayers for my endurance as it is a very full schedule.

On another front, there is a situation I have been dealing with, not directly in my life but in my area of stewardship, where I am stumped.

We have tried a variety of strategies, including asking for insight as to what the root issue is.  So far, there has been no insight and no movement.  The consequences of the problem remaining unchanged and are becoming increasingly severe.

The surface issue involves a huge lack of perspective.  Some of the people involved very quickly agree that their perspective is wrong when they are confronted, yet mysteriously fail to change their behavior.

At this point, lacking a specific strategy based on principles and earned authority, I am asking you to simply pray for the Light of Israel to become a fire and consume the enemy power, so the people in question will obey the will of the Lord with alacrity.

There are specific actions that those involved need to take.  They have acknowledged that God wants them to act and they should do these things, yet they remain passive.

It is a demonic strategy unlike anything I have seen before, but God has seen it all, so He knows exactly where to apply the fire.

I looked up the word ALACRITY. This is what has been sucked out of my life. It came in early April. I felt it as I was journaling and wrote, “Uh oh, what is this?” I wondered what was going on. I’ve looked for solution after solution. There’s been some relief, but I’m still not reacting with cheer or enthusiasm over really good things that are happening. I’m sluggardly.

So. I am praying. And maybe, hopefully some cheerful enthusiasm will attend to these prayers!

Hi Arthur, just a though. Might this be linked to the Mercy season we are in? Maybe a combination between mercy land and the mercy season that somehow gives the enemy the right to pull this off?

I read this and prayed for both situations but as I started to pray for the latter situation , I saw in my mind a circle of intense white light. Although this was a thin line of light , it was incredibly intense.

All in… being mercy, the passivity thing is often in front me. It’s been a life long battle, with much to be gleaned for sure. Praying for that fire to burn!

This was a life changing, spirit feeding, emotional healing seminar for me personally. I cannot walk away unchanged and more thirsty to walk in absolutely everything I was designed for! All glory to our beautiful Jesus! Thank you Arthur for the beautiful way you served to us on a gold platter your very hard earned gems so unselfish!

I will be praying for you and with you about this situation as the description sounds very much like one I have been dealing with for some time now with little discernible movement.
